Thanks for visiting my own little nook on the internet.

I have had an interest in photography ever since I picked up my first camera in Art Class in 7th grade. The entire class got to use one 35mm SLR camera so we each checked it out for one day to do our assignment. Back then there was no such thing as a digital camera or personal printers. . . or even personal computers . . . or touch tone phones.

My first camera was the Minolta Maxxum 7000 I purchased around 1985. This was the first camera ever to have Auto focus and an Auto Focus lens mounts. Ever since then I have been the guy with the camera. When we went on trips I was the one lugging around a camera. I was especially drawn toward waterfalls shots and landscape pictures. For many years to follow I was happy having photography as a hobby.

In about 2002 my sister-in-law started bugging me to try selling some of my pictures. She was an artist, and many of my friends were also artists. When ever we all get together the subject of art seems to surface. I had thought about selling my pictures as every photographer does at one point or another but up until then I had never really tried to take any "commercial" shots. I would define that as pictures that someone else would be willing to purchase.

My artistic friends will often submit their work at local Sci-Fi conventions. At first I was a bit hesitant because I know photography does not go over very well at those conventions. Most of the work shown there has to have some kind of fantasy quality to it. Photography, even stuff that has been Photoshopped does not sell very well. Then I got an idea for the “Sword and the Stone” picture.
To make a long story short, this website shows the results. I hope you like them.
